Everyone loves sweet gestures—little things that remind someone that you love them, that you think of them, that you care for their general, and other things. A gesture could be made towards a friend, a family member, or some other loved one. Maybe towards a total stranger you think deserves something to make them smile.

1. LOVE NOTES ♥ Everyone loves love notes, and they don’t even have to be romantic. It could be simple as ‘have a good day at work’ or even something funny to brighten someone’s day.

2. BREAKFAST IN BED ♥ Especially on a Sunday morning or after a long, late shift at work, breakfast in bed with their favorite foods is surely the way to start the day off right.

3. PHONE CALL ♥ Who doesn’t like a phone call from someone they love, for no reason? A nice conversation can be all someone needs to have a better day or make a good day be a great one.

4. SWEET TREAT ♥ Late at night when you’re both tired from work or just general day-to-day things, something sweet from the local bakery can be just the thing you need.

7. SMALL GIFT ♥ It could be a piece of jewelry that caught your eye and reminded you of them, a stuffed animal you won at the carnival… just something small and sweet that you are sure they are going to love no matter how cheap or expensive it is.

8. FLOWERS ♥ From a florist or from a random patch of green, the surprise of flowers for someone you know and/or love is always welcomed! Look into their meanings to make the bouquet, big or small, become extra special.

9. RENT A MOVIE ♥ Sure, you might not like the genre of the movie, but if the other person does, then that is all that matters.

10. SLOW DANCE ♥ Middle of the living room, randomly while on a date, or maybe that is the whole purpose of the date. Slow dances are so underrated.

11. SURPRISE GETAWAY ♥ Yes, that is just what you guys need: a vacation from things, even if it’s just for a day or two and is not half way across the world. From a family vacation to a romantic spur of the moment, everyone loves going to a new place.

12. SURPRISE KISS ♥ Who doesn’t like a surprise kiss? A soft one on the cheek, a kiss being the thing to wake you up in the morning, or a big one right when you walk through the door.

13. HOLD HANDS ♥ There is nothing like holding hands. It’s a simple and intimate gesture, and if you do it the right way, it could have a whole different meaning.

14. COOK DINNER ♥ Come on, give it a go. Who cares if you’re not the best cook in the world or possibly the worst? It’s the thought that counts.

[Maybe instead of a job Zack drove really far out to pick something up from a store that carried Mystery Item and were the only store that carried it. I can't think of what it would be oops. But he's just on his way back and he misses Aerith, it's dark out, so he calls her and turns down the audio on his bluetooth calling because why is it always so loud.]

[Aerith is finishing watering some plants in her room when she gets the call. She looks at her phone and sees Zack's name and a picture of him smiling his cute, excited smile. It makes her heart warm every time. She picks up the phone.]

Hi Zack, did you miss me?

[Zack chuckles and leans a little forward in his seat just to make sure the on board mic picks up his voice so that he's not just yelling in his car.]

Yeah, actually! It's a long drive, so I wanted to just talk to you. What'd you do for dinner?

[She smiles hearing his voice and sits down on her bed.]

Mom made us some soup with the leftovers from this week. It was really good! What about you? Did you get something on the road?

[Zack makes a "yum!" sound because, y'know, Aerith's mom's cooking is always good, and he's a fan of those leftover soup concepts.]

Oh, yeah, I'm gonna run by a drive-thru closer to home. There are a few ones open real late so I'm not worried. Thinking aboooouuut...burgers, maybe.

[Aerith laughs and lays down.]

That sounds about right! Make sure not to wait too long though, you get so upset when you're hungry.

[She looks up at her ceiling and imagines being in the car with Zack.]

What are you doing driving so long anyway?

[Zack laughs with a "yeeeah" as his response because what else can he say? She's right.]

[He takes a breath to stop the laughing and clears his throat.]

Ah, y'know. I needed something and the only store that had it was a billion miles away so here I am. Driving home late at night. I had to wait to get off work to go.

[I've decided that he's making her a cute flower cart and needed some kind of special shaped bar for it or smth.]

[She's going to be delighted when she finds out what he was driving out to get.]

How was work today? It seemed like you were pretty busy since I didn't get too many texts...

[Zack then sighs.]

Busy's right, these guys really put me to work today. I pretty much just worked and ran to that store today.

I'm sorry, I hope it wasn't too bad.

[Aerith hums softly into the phone.]

I missed talking to you today. Are you too tired to visit on your way home?

[Zack makes this really exaggerated hum, like hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.]

Well, I guess I'm not that tired.

[He can't help but chuckle a little.]

Sure, do you want anything from the burger place I'm stopping at? Dessert? A drink?

[Aerith giggles.]

Zack....you don't need to be such a tease....

[She pauses to think for a minute.]

Mmmm..maybe something small?

[Zack chuckles. Yes he does.]

Sure thing, I got you. I'll be there and then to your place pretty soon, here.

[Rude boy. Aerith smiles and looks out the window thinking about how he'll be there soon.]
