Everyone loves sweet gestures—little things that remind someone that you love them, that you think of them, that you care for their general, and other things. A gesture could be made towards a friend, a family member, or some other loved one. Maybe towards a total stranger you think deserves something to make them smile.

1. LOVE NOTES ♥ Everyone loves love notes, and they don’t even have to be romantic. It could be simple as ‘have a good day at work’ or even something funny to brighten someone’s day.

2. BREAKFAST IN BED ♥ Especially on a Sunday morning or after a long, late shift at work, breakfast in bed with their favorite foods is surely the way to start the day off right.

3. PHONE CALL ♥ Who doesn’t like a phone call from someone they love, for no reason? A nice conversation can be all someone needs to have a better day or make a good day be a great one.

4. SWEET TREAT ♥ Late at night when you’re both tired from work or just general day-to-day things, something sweet from the local bakery can be just the thing you need.

5. MASSAGE ♥ While a wonderful idea, swapping massages can be a good idea too, or doing it after a nice bubble bath you made for them, or just randomly.

6. RANDOM HUG ♥ Even if they are not having a bad day, how could a hug not bring a smile to someone’s face?

7. SMALL GIFT ♥ It could be a piece of jewelry that caught your eye and reminded you of them, a stuffed animal you won at the carnival… just something small and sweet that you are sure they are going to love no matter how cheap or expensive it is.

8. FLOWERS ♥ From a florist or from a random patch of green, the surprise of flowers for someone you know and/or love is always welcomed! Look into their meanings to make the bouquet, big or small, become extra special.

9. RENT A MOVIE ♥ Sure, you might not like the genre of the movie, but if the other person does, then that is all that matters.

10. SLOW DANCE ♥ Middle of the living room, randomly while on a date, or maybe that is the whole purpose of the date. Slow dances are so underrated.

11. SURPRISE GETAWAY ♥ Yes, that is just what you guys need: a vacation from things, even if it’s just for a day or two and is not half way across the world. From a family vacation to a romantic spur of the moment, everyone loves going to a new place.

12. SURPRISE KISS ♥ Who doesn’t like a surprise kiss? A soft one on the cheek, a kiss being the thing to wake you up in the morning, or a big one right when you walk through the door.

13. HOLD HANDS ♥ There is nothing like holding hands. It’s a simple and intimate gesture, and if you do it the right way, it could have a whole different meaning.

14. COOK DINNER ♥ Come on, give it a go. Who cares if you’re not the best cook in the world or possibly the worst? It’s the thought that counts.

[Morgana is a whole 13 years old with big blue eyes and black hair with a slight wave to it that hasn't been cut in a while (he wants to see what a "boyish ponytail" looks like but honestly the length is getting to him) so it flips up at the ends. He barely touches 5'00" and is very proud of his accomplishment. He's also barely exiting his "I'm a cat" phase but just barely; he'll still meow at people and then get really embarrassed about it. Around Akira, though? He's less embarrassed to just be himself, whoever that is. Don't ask him about his identity, he gets real freaked out by the concept. He's 13.]

[Anyway, it's not really a special day for his big brother Akira, but it's a big day for Morgana! He just learned how to use the gas stove! Wow! And the first thing he did was surprisingly not try to make something for Ann but you can't bake cookies on the stove vow to make Akira breakfast in bed! As a surprise! He'll never see it coming, hehehe.]

[So here's Morgana, with his cat ears beanie on, carefully going up to Akira's room and balancing a tray of eggs, bacon, rice, and some instant coffee he found tucked away in the cabinets. He didn't know how much milk and sugar Akira liked, if any at all, so he just...also has a small bowl of sugar and a cup of milk on the side. It's a lot for a kid to carry and he's doing his best; there's only been one teeny coffee spill so far.]

[He gets to Akira's door and--oh. Right. Hands. He doesn't have those. He considers for a moment trying to balance the tray on his hip or something but that won't quite work. Maybe he should...hit his head on the door? No that would risk slamming the tray into the door with his body. Guess that leave his feet. So he kicks at Akira's door, defeated. He really wanted to burst in and surprise him while he was still asleep. His plans are ruined, but hopefully the surprise won't be.]

[Ryuji doesn't get it, but Akira is pretty happy to have his little brother trailing after him all the time. He's a few months shy of four years older, but they've always been close. Their parents are notoriously absent, and Akira was only ten when they started leaving the two boys alone overnight. They were already so hands off that the boys had behaved like it was some kind of treat-- he remembers playing phantom thieves around the house without getting yelled at for the noise, watching anime at dinner instead of the news, and staying at the playground near their house far too late.]

[Of course, he also remembers the rest of it, helping Morgana with homework instead of doing his own and getting sick of microwave meals and piggybacking a feverish and scared little boy to the doctor. He loves his brother and at this point he probably wouldn't trust their parents to take over as primary caretaker even if they seemed inclined to do it.]

[Still, basically playing parent or not, Akira is 16 and would sleep until the mid-afternoon if given the option. Morgana chases him into bed early but he always ends up staying up playing mobile games with Ryuji or Futaba, or just texting. He's got a thing for the art student he's modeling for and they've shifted into that "deep conversations at 3am" stage.]

[So, he's dead to the world when Morgana kicks on the door, and wakes up with a startled yelp.]

Morgana? What--

[Their room doesn't have a lock on the door, and Morgana has never been shy about waking him up but usually from closer up than this. He nearly trips over his blankets trying to get out of bed, and makes a whole lot of noise doing it. Finally, he makes it to the door.]

Are you o--

[He only gets halfway through checking on his brother before he notices the food and stops short, eyes widening in surprise.]

[Morgana sighs at all the noise Akira makes. Really, can't he be just a little more careful? Even Morgana himself with all his baby teen energy takes the time to carefully exit out of bed without much fuss--never mind that if he didn't he'd fall and probably break his arm or something. That's not the point.]

[The door finally opens and Morgana, despite just now patting himself on the back for his restraint, practically thrusts the tray up at Akira, sending bits of coffee and milk over the edges of their cups. He grimaces, what a rookie mistake. At least he had the foresight to pile a few napkins on the side just for this reason.]

I made you breakfast! It was supposed to be in bed but, uh...I couldn't open the door. So you have to get back in bed.

[He considers the spilled liquids and reconsiders this.]

Unless...eating at your desk would be easier.

[I don't even have an icon for the kind of smile that Akira is giving his little brother right now. He looks touched, and delighted, and maybe a little bit squinty because he did just wake up and he isn't wearing his glasses.]

You made all this for me? Morgana, thank you, this is amazing.

[The smile only grows, and he only just barely resists ruffling Morgana's hair. He accepted that when he was in the cat phase, but recently he's been more resistant, some kind of 'I'm grown up now, no more headsets' thing. Akira, who never associated being young with receiving physical affection, doesn't really get it, but Makoto says it's normal.]

I'll get back in bed.

[Morgana beams up at Akira at the praise and his big smile. He feels so accomplished right now, like he did a really great job at something! Sometimes you're 13 and those little victories are harder to come by amongst your teen angst.]

Okay! I'll wait for you!

[He scurries past Akira and waits near the bed, trying his best to keep his feet flat on the ground so that he doesn't bounce more liquids out of their cups. ]
