[yes! a cat! in this particular denny's where they're just letting him sit at the table like a people, but in a kids booster seat] [he's chowing down on an omelet filled with all kinds of stuff, and there's a nibbled on pancake next to him. when he notices Shiho he looks up and his ears twitch. hey! he knows her!] Mrrrow! [not she can understand him, so he just meows at her neutrally as if there's nothing out of the ordinary going on here]

[What is going on in here....this is probably one of the more bizarre things Shiho has ever seen so she's going to walk over while looking around. Is someone sitting with this cat?]

Who let you in here?

[She reaches out to let him do a sniff and tries to take a look at his collar in case there's a name tag or something to indicate who this cat belongs to.]

[Morgana, at first, just stares at her hand. Wtf is she doing? Then he remembers that that's what normal cats do, so he sniffs her hand, feels a little weird about it, then bumps his head against her palm. He will at least try to get some pets out of her.]

{Akira left me here to go on a date, so I thought I'd order something to eat! He can pay when he gets back.}

[She does pet him! No tags on his collar. This is so weird.]

Doesn't look like your owner gave you a tag, but you do have a collar so you must belong to someone.

[Morgana gets some little under the chin scritches.]

You're so chatty, how has no one else noticed you here?

[He can't stop himself from purring, it's just impossible. Oh, chin scritches, he loves those but is too embarrassed to ask for them. Bless you, Shiho, for giving them so willingly.]

{They do, they just don't care.}

[After all, they did feed him here. Someone knowingly served a cat a meal.]

[Aw he looks so happy when he gets the chin scritches...She smiles at him and keeps scritching the chin.]

What a cute cat. Hm, I feel bad for leaving you all alone here but...

[Surely he wouldn't be here if someone else wasn't looking after him. A cat all alone at a Denny's? How silly.]

[Morgana decides this is a good human and, ignoring her last statement, pulls away from her hand--a crime by himself to himself--and reaches across the table to pat at the table with his paw. He looks up at her and repeats this action.]

{C'mon, sit down! We can both eat here!}

[She looks confused.]

Oh, do you want me to sit down?

[This is so strange.]

[Morgana nods. Cats don't usually nod in response.]

{Of course! What else would I be telling you to do?}

[Extremely odd cat behavior but sure....]

Oh...okay.

[She sits down in the booth across from Morgana and looks around again like she's expecting his owner to show up.]

[Akira's gonna be gone for a long while, Shiho, your looking is in vain.]

[Morgana reaches over and puts his little paw on a menu left behind by the waiter. He slides it over in Shiho's direction as much as his little arm can do.]

{Go ahead! Order something!}

[Shiho continues to look confused and mildly distressed.]

Um..thank you?

[She takes the menu and looks at it, then at Morgana.]

I guess I'm having breakfast with a cat.

[Morgana straight up meows at her before speaking again, which just sounds like more meows.]

{It's not that weird! Now, if you'll excuse me for a moment.}

[He goes back to eating his big omelet with his little mouth. He's v hungry.]

do you want to just fade to black on breakfast or keep going?

[Shiho looks a little surprised and then lets out a small laugh.]

Oh, okay. You must be hungry.

[She looks around again like she's expecting this cat's owner to pop up somewhere but seeing no one she settles into the booth with a smile and sends her girlfriend a text. 'You'll never guess what I'm doing right now']

yeah i think that'd be good, maybe you could end it?

[She'll probably be surprised when Akira shows up later to pick Morgana up. He doesn't have a tag or anything, just a plain yellow collar, so it's impossible to tell whose bed he sleeps in.]

{Yeah, you try eating curry and cat food day in and day out. This is awesome!}

[Well, weird day. Guess she'll babysit this cat until Akira his owner shows back up. Shiho takes a quick picture of Morgana eating eggs to send to Ann and then waits for a server to come by so she can get some food of her own.]
