Everyone loves sweet gestures—little things that remind someone that you love them, that you think of them, that you care for their general, and other things. A gesture could be made towards a friend, a family member, or some other loved one. Maybe towards a total stranger you think deserves something to make them smile.

1. LOVE NOTES ♥ Everyone loves love notes, and they don’t even have to be romantic. It could be simple as ‘have a good day at work’ or even something funny to brighten someone’s day.

2. BREAKFAST IN BED ♥ Especially on a Sunday morning or after a long, late shift at work, breakfast in bed with their favorite foods is surely the way to start the day off right.

3. PHONE CALL ♥ Who doesn’t like a phone call from someone they love, for no reason? A nice conversation can be all someone needs to have a better day or make a good day be a great one.

4. SWEET TREAT ♥ Late at night when you’re both tired from work or just general day-to-day things, something sweet from the local bakery can be just the thing you need.

5. MASSAGE ♥ While a wonderful idea, swapping massages can be a good idea too, or doing it after a nice bubble bath you made for them, or just randomly.

6. RANDOM HUG ♥ Even if they are not having a bad day, how could a hug not bring a smile to someone’s face?

7. SMALL GIFT ♥ It could be a piece of jewelry that caught your eye and reminded you of them, a stuffed animal you won at the carnival… just something small and sweet that you are sure they are going to love no matter how cheap or expensive it is.

8. FLOWERS ♥ From a florist or from a random patch of green, the surprise of flowers for someone you know and/or love is always welcomed! Look into their meanings to make the bouquet, big or small, become extra special.

9. RENT A MOVIE ♥ Sure, you might not like the genre of the movie, but if the other person does, then that is all that matters.

10. SLOW DANCE ♥ Middle of the living room, randomly while on a date, or maybe that is the whole purpose of the date. Slow dances are so underrated.

11. SURPRISE GETAWAY ♥ Yes, that is just what you guys need: a vacation from things, even if it’s just for a day or two and is not half way across the world. From a family vacation to a romantic spur of the moment, everyone loves going to a new place.

12. SURPRISE KISS ♥ Who doesn’t like a surprise kiss? A soft one on the cheek, a kiss being the thing to wake you up in the morning, or a big one right when you walk through the door.

13. HOLD HANDS ♥ There is nothing like holding hands. It’s a simple and intimate gesture, and if you do it the right way, it could have a whole different meaning.

14. COOK DINNER ♥ Come on, give it a go. Who cares if you’re not the best cook in the world or possibly the worst? It’s the thought that counts.

[I could make a joke here but I think genuine affection isn't really something Manjoume is used to so. yeah. I'm a little sad for him actually.]

[Judai's not really about this whole schmoopy business, but he sees a little ugly ass lion plush in a toy store that sells cards? He buys it. It's how he shows his affection now, he thinks it's perfect. It's like if the Ojamas tried to tell you what a lion was, it's beautiful.]

[At first he wasn't going to wrap it, but the toy store guy offered and y'know? Why not. So it gets all wrapped up in a box with some cutesy duel monsters wrapping paper and Judai's off on his way back to the boat to take him back to the dorms. Their Hogsmeade-esque outing I decided is canon just now is ending and his rare alone time is also over; he's immediately flanked by friends.]

[Whenever he gets a chance to be alone with Manjoume next--either on the boat or at the dorms, you can pick--he hands the box to him and actually feels a little bashful about it. Something about it being wrapped up like that makes it like...special.]

Hey, thunder, got you something! Made me think of you!

[Manjoume is deeply bitter about the fact that he no longer has the space to go on a shopping spree during these off-island trips. He can't go nuts and buy new antiques or whatever stupid bullshit he is currently storing in the shed like common lawncare equipment because his dorm room is the size of a postage stamp.]

[By the time he's back in said tiny dorm room, carrying only some new luxury socks and a couple of new shirts, he's in a decidedly bad mood about the whole ordeal. Judai knocking on his door... well, I'd say it doesn't help, but really it overrides the previous bad mood with an entirely different bad mood. A mood that is labeled "responding to a crush by sending them a note saying 'get out of my school'" but lets pretend we didn't read that.]

Ugh what do you wa--

[Judai got him a present???? He goes from annoyed to giddy to annoyed by the giddiness over into smug because of COURSE people are thinking about him when he's not around. He definitely isn't blushing, everyone shut up.]

Well, hand it over then!

[Judai misses the blush as a blush but doesn't miss the redness, he just processes it as maybe it's warmer out than he thought, huh, weird, oh well.]

[He rubs under his nose, a nervous tick, and grins.]

Yeah! This one's just for you, bud.

[He holds out the box, it's a little big for just one hand, like it hangs off both sides, but it's manageable. The lion inside is on the stiffer side, with its legs not placed on quite right, its head tilted, eyes askew, :3 smile embordered on amateurly, the whiskers are uneven, and the mane is sparse on the bottom but plentiful on the top. Oh, and the tail? Just fine. That's a good lion tail. The color's mostly fine, too, a little on the yellow side but that's a lion. You can at least tell it's a lion.]

[Also he's being very sincere but it's Judai, a lot of what he says comes off sounding like a joke. He's smiling rather than grinning at Manjoume, which should be a tell that he's not being a trickster this time around, but like. This lion exists.]

[Manjoume accepts the box, and wow, is he ever going on a face journey. His eyes glint with excitement, then he gives Judai a suspicious look as though he expects this to be one of those cans of peanuts with toy snakes inside, then decides to just go for it and unwrap the thing.]

[He makes a token effort of unwrapping it without tearing the paper, but then the Ojamas crowd around and he immediately gets agitated, ripping the paper off and swatting at them. It's lucky Judai can see the damn things, because otherwise this would look truly ridiculous.]

Ooooo, Aniki, what'd he get you?

It's gotta be better than those socks you brought home!

[In a truly impressive display of spirit (and classmate) wrangling, he shoves the Ojamas back into his room, Judai a little farther into the hallway, and shuts the door. It won't do much to keep them in there, but it makes him feel better at least.]

Nosy little...

[He trails off, turning his attention back to the box.]

[Judai freaking loves those weird little guys. He laughs, even as he's shoved around, and wipes a little tear from his eye.]

Aw, c'mon, they're just curious!

[He's well aware of how annoying they are to Manjoume and that obviously they were crowding him, but he's gotta tease him, too. That's just what you do to boys you...what you do to boys. Where was he going with that?]
