[Most of the time, Morgana lives with Akira. This week, however, Akira is on a trip with Yusuke to go to an art exhibition, and nobody wants to condemn Morgana to tagging along on a couples' trip or spending days alone in the apartment.]

[Ann won the coin flip between her and Futaba on who gets to keep him for the week, and has smuggled him into one of those american style chain diners that have been popping up lately.]

Okay, I don't think the waitresses can see you from this angle!

[he would much rather be spending time with Ann than Akira and Yusuke for sure, they're so couple-y and he's kinda over the schmoop. his crush on Ann has calmed down over the past year or so, but he still holds her in very high regard and was very excited at that coin flip outcome.] [at Ann's signal he smoothly exits her bag with a careful jump and plops down in the seat next to her between her and the wall.] Thank you, Lady Ann! I am so ready for this. [he'll curl himself up into a ball anytime the waitress comes by, he'll blend right in with the shadows!]

[Ann grabs a menu off the table and opens it in her lap, lower than she'd normally hold it so it's easier for Morgana to read without having to poke his little head out too much.]

Yeah, me too! I haven't had pancakes in forever! Ooo, or maybe a Belgian waffle...

[He puts his little paw on the menu on top of the pancakes and looks up at Ann.]

Why not both? We can share! I've never had a waffle before and we can both have pancakes.

[He scans the menu a bit more and slides his paw down to the a la carte meats.]

Sausage.

Oh, then we have to get one, you'll love it! The texture is totally different from pancakes, they're lighter and crispier!

[She glances down the breakfast menu, taking these choices very seriously.]

Okay, so, waffle, sausage, a stack of pancakes-- oh! Wow, they have all kinds of options, I think some of these are new!

[She legitimately gasps. Nobody loves dessert like Ann loves dessert.]

Salted caramel and banana, that sounds amazing.

[Morgana laugh-meows in that way only he, a not-cat, can do. He's very excited, Ann's enthusiasm is contagious, and he also enjoys food. It's the purr-fect storm.]

[He lets out a confused "huh?" and puts his paw out on the menu.]

What's ranch?

[He has located the area for sides of stuff and that's a word for where horses go, not a food! So why is it food? What's going on?]

[Ann leans over a bit to read the menu item that Morgana is looking at.]

Oh, it's a dressing for salad! It's really popular in America so they put it on other stuff too.

[She pauses for a second to think.]

I'm not actually sure what's in it, though...

[Morgana retracts his paw. A dressing...?]

But aren't ranches for cows? Do they put meat in it?

[That's gravy, Morgana. But he thinks about it for a minute.]

...I guess that wouldn't be so bad. Chicken goes in salad, right?

[For a second, Ann actually considers Morgana's theory. She's never really thought about the ingredients in dressing, after all.]

Does it have meat in it..?

[She shakes her head after a moment. No, it doesn't taste meaty, that's silly.]

I don't think it has meat in it.

[You know what. He trusts Ann on this one. She eats more kinds of human food than he does, he most eats curry.]

Okay, I'll trust you on this, Lady Ann.

[He's like. Dead serious. Also he may trust Ann but he will ask Akira later anyway because this will plague his thoughts.]
