[I'm 16....I'm a grandmother.... So, some weird stuff has been happening lately. Some app showed up on her phone that she can't seem to delete, probably part of some update or something she guessed at the time, and then fuckin...this whole persona thing? BIZARRE. Well. Now she's at work waiting tables. It's been a pretty slow day but that suits her just fine. However, there sure is a little cat sitting at a table like a person.

She passes by the table once and then processes that there is in fact a small cat just. Sitting in a booster seat. She stops in her path and backtracks to the table with the cat and immediately starts laughing.]

Oh my god wait--wait, how did you get here??

[She quickly looks around and then pulls out her phone.]

Please don't move, I need to get a picture of this!

[Morgana, like other persona users, can't detect other persona users so he's blissfully unaware of Egg's powers. He's just here for a good time and some pancakes. He's owed these pancakes. He's been waiting for someone to come by and take his order, which he's sure will be a difficult process without Akira to help him out but he'll manage! He's a big boy!]

[And, finally, a waitress stops by. But before he can exclaim his relief she says...that? He stares at her for a moment then gets a little frustrated.]

Okay, okay, but can you hurry? I'm really hungry.

[He's 100% not expecting her to understand him.]

[Egg drops her phone.]

Wh--W--Did you just talk.

[She stares directly at Morgana for a full 5 seconds and then squints slightly. This has to be a joke. Oh no okay phone on the ground. She bends down to pick it up and then looks around.]

No. No way...Am I being pranked?

[This would make way more sense if Sera was behind it. This is totally the kind of thing Sera would do. Sera is no where to be seen. No one seems to be acting weird or paying her any mind either.]

[Morgana's little kitty jaw drops and for a moment he's still. Then he hops up onto the table and does the cat pose in the icon.] You think you're being pranked?! Are you sure you can hear me? That's impossible, unless you're a-- [He grumbles and settles back to a normal cat stance, though his eyes still look a little distrustful and his tone disgruntled.] Hey...do you have that app on your phone?

[Egg backs up a little and holds out the hand with her phone in it in a defensive posture.]

What--What are you talking about? How are you talking??

[She looks like she's about to run away or something. Is she having some kind of psychotic break?? This can't be real. Egg takes a deep breath to steady herself.]

I..have..a lot of phone apps...

[Morgana grumbles. He'd call her names but she's a lady and he's only overtly mean to boys. But he sighs like she's causing him the most problems in the world and he stands up.]

No, I mean there's a specific app on your phone. It's the Metaverse Navigator, it's unable to be deleted for good. Do you have it?

[He "mrr"s to himself, looks down at his feet, then back up at Egg.]

Okay, better question: do you have a persona? I should have asked that first.

[Egg squints at the little cat. You know what's fun that I discovered after much research? In persona 5, the personas don't announce that's what they're called! The only reason they know is because Morgana explained things! So congrats Morgana, you just said more confusing words!]

Listen, I have no idea what you're talking about.

[She looks around to see if anyone is reacting to this talking cat and they sure do not seem to be. Egg hums in a distressed tone and checks to see if her manager is within sight. She's in the clear so she sits down quickly and puts her phone face up on the table. Maybe she has a weird app that's making her hear this cat saying human words?]

You can't be talking through this, your voice isn't muffled at all.

[Oh god he's so frustrated. But, again, he's going to be more patient with
her even if he doesn't like it.]

[When Egg puts her phone down he puts his little paw over the app in question.]

This one. I'm not talking through it. It has the ability to take you to the Metaverse, which is where you must have met your persona. You know, "I am thou, thou art I"? Don't you remember?

[I'm sorry Morgana, Egg is willfully ignorant because she is actively refusing fate in a way that is not quite like most of the kids he knows. She looks at where he is pointing with his paw and then back at him and Realizes.

If this were a movie or a tv show or something this would be the moment where she would flash back to her persona awakening. Her phantom thief outfit probably would lean more in the assassin/fantasy thief direction since, You Know, She's From A Fantasy Universe. Idk who her persona even is though because I don't know things but I will let you know if I come up with a good rebellious figure for her. Anyway, she's staring at this cat in shock when she realizes that he's somehow connected to that weird experience she had.]

....Oh. Oh. That.

[She leans away from the cat and back against the seat.]

[Morgana sits, pleased. His ear twitches.]

Good, you remember. I was going to get worried that something very wrong was going on here, but it looks like you just needed some help jogging your memory.

[He grooms that twitching ear then looks back at Egg.]

[Egg frowns. She was really hoping to forget all about that weird experience. Where in the world did this talking cat come from anyway? This is not how she wanted to spend her shift.

She scrunches down a little in her chair.]

Uh, nothing, I guess. I just got this app one day and ended up in some weird mansion with a bunch of monsters. I haven't gone back or anything.

[This is so weird.]

[Morgana nods once.]

That sounds right. Well, no one said you have to fight the shadows in there, but if you wanted to...hm...

[He doesn't know how she fights or would handle a battle, or what her skills are at all, and it seems her instinct is to run from things then maybe he shouldn't bother.]

Never mind. I believe you have a persona for a reason, but I would need to see you in action before I offered you what I was about to suggest.

Hang on, what do you mean fight? What are you doing in the..uh..metaverse? You're just a cat!
