» 1. costumes - costumes!!! the best part! there's probably a contest, maybe with cash prizes if the host is generous enough, or maybe just bragging rights until next year. » 2. party games - there's bobbing for apples, pin the face piece on the pumpkin (if that's a thing), group card games...plenty of options out there! » 3. selfie corner - it's a fold-up table with all kinds of props and a selfie stick on it, have fun! » 4. dance floor - either a dj is controlling the music or someone's spotify playlist. either way, it's time to get dancing and show off your moves! » 5. buffet - pizza? potluck? desserts??? spiked punch??? who knows what the spread's like! » 6. bar - might be a paid-for open bar or just an assortment of beers and wine coolers. » 7. quiet rooms - need a break? the guest bedroom is free to chill out in. or the bathroom if that's your thing. » 8. the host's pets - know who's better than people? the dog and/or the cat. » 9. going home - party's over, are you helping with clean up or are you dragging yourself home?

[Halloween has always been a very fun holiday but now that Aerith has a boyfriend to harass share it with it's even more fun. Since Cloud has been pretty aggressive about not doing a couple's costume, she is going to make him regret it. They're planning to meet up at this party, which she's sure is going to make things even worse for him. Now the first time he sees her will be in public.

Aerith has settled on an angel costume for this party. Her hair is down, free from her usual braid, covering her back over a set of medium-sized angel wings. She has a headband with a halo on top of her head and her hair is decorated with silver, star-shaped hair jewelry. She's wearing more make-up than usual to give herself a beautiful, ethereal look. It's a pretty strong contrast to what she's wearing on her body.

On her body Aerith is wearing a body-con dress with a very deep v-neck and very high slits on the thighs. It's not her usual style but she can imagine the look that will be on Cloud's face when he shows up to the venue. When she arrives she makes sure to stand in a very visible place near the entrance, definitely to make sure Cloud can find her and not at all because she wants other people to see Cloud flustered.

[Cloud was never a fan of Halloween. People get annoying and pushy about costumes, parties, stocking up on candy...he's not a fan. He's been able to avoid doing anything with Zack for as long as they've been roommates by both saying "no" and actively working. However he's dating Aerith this year and she wants to go to a party. In costume. He managed to veto a couples deal, that's too much for him, but he was eventually convinced to dress up at all and not work tonight.]

[Well, he didn't want to go out and buy anything. Even if he did, he didn't know what to pick, so he asked Zack. Zack was an endless resource of ideas but Cloud didn't like any of them. Then, exasperated and as a joke, Zack said "pizza delivery boy" and Cloud was sold.]

[Dressed in a polo shirt from the back of his closet reserved for job interviews (he does gig work so the last interview he had was years ago), jeans, and an old visor and nametag from his old fast food job when he and Zack first moved in together, Cloud figures he's ready to go. His final touch is a pizza box from three days ago. Zack told him to never put it down; he knows Aerith well enough so Cloud decides to heed his warning.]

[Cloud has to park his bike down the road; he probably passed Aerith on his way to find a spot. He checks his phone.]

[And so he makes his way to the front of where they're meeting up after fussing with his tucked in shirt--it's a little tight on him, jesus--and balancing a pizza box with no weight to it on one hand because holding it in two hands feels too stupid. He sees Aerith, doesn't process her costume at first, just that her hair is down and she's pretty.]

Hey, Aerith--

[Oh. Wait. She's pretty. He stops a few feet short of her, nearly drops his pizza box but he clumsily catches it with his other hand. He's blushing, oh god he knows he is. She looks great, he doesn't know where to put his eyes, is he being disrespectful? Her dress is so low-cut in the front but so high-cut on the side, he can see so much of her skin he never has before. This is...a lot.]

[A pizza delivery boy, seriously? The Sexy Angel Costume was a good idea. She knew he would put in the bare minimum effort and having to spend this whole party feeling flustered seems like a very fair price for his crimes.

Aerith watches Cloud process her costume and slowly turn more and more red. The blush is covering his entire face, it's so cute. He's definitely overwhelmed.

She grins mischievously at him, not even bothering to hide her joy at his reaction.]

Do you like my costume?

[Aerith does a little turn with her arms out so he can get a look at her from all angles. The dress is backless and the only thing saving Cloud from getting a look at her exposed skin is the fact that she's wearing wings and that her hair is so long.]
