» 1. always night - sure is dark, huh? has it always been so late so long? » 2. camp unsafe isn't safe anymore - wasn't summer camp supposed to be, like, fun and stuff? » 3. new house new problems - this place is perfect and you got such a good dealon it, what could go wrong? » 4. the calls are coming from inside the house - there's no sign of a break-in, so what's with all the creepy shit going on in the house? » 5. the little shop that wasn't there yesterday - well, it wasn't. the shop keeper seems...fine. as fine as "suspicious" can get, at least. » 6. don't go in the woods - there's a reason no one tells you to actually go into the woods » 7. abandoned hospital - doesn't every town have one of these creepy things on the outskirts? » 8. haunted castle - sure, it was a nice place to run into as shelter from the rain, but who--or what--is waiting for you inside? » 9. town with a dark secret - people are being real shifty about their town for no apparent reason

» 1. costumes - costumes!!! the best part! there's probably a contest, maybe with cash prizes if the host is generous enough, or maybe just bragging rights until next year. » 2. party games - there's bobbing for apples, pin the face piece on the pumpkin (if that's a thing), group card games...plenty of options out there! » 3. selfie corner - it's a fold-up table with all kinds of props and a selfie stick on it, have fun! » 4. dance floor - either a dj is controlling the music or someone's spotify playlist. either way, it's time to get dancing and show off your moves! » 5. buffet - pizza? potluck? desserts??? spiked punch??? who knows what the spread's like! » 6. bar - might be a paid-for open bar or just an assortment of beers and wine coolers. » 7. quiet rooms - need a break? the guest bedroom is free to chill out in. or the bathroom if that's your thing. » 8. the host's pets - know who's better than people? the dog and/or the cat. » 9. going home - party's over, are you helping with clean up or are you dragging yourself home?

[Akashi's seen this type of reaction before, it's nothing new. Guests come in with all sorts of responses, but apprehension is fairly common. He finds it best to stay out of their way, so he keeps moving the books on this shelf around. If Kuroko had stayed to watch, he'd see that all Akashi is doing is moving colored books from space to space, leaving other shelves untouched.]

[He moves a deep red book to the end of the row where the lamp is between the shelf and the dark blue book; interesting. He's never seen someone's bonds so colorful before, the adventure through them so wrought with change. Is this where it settles, though? He looks down at a scarlet red book that's been pulled but has no place. Very interesting.]

[There's a sharp sting in Akashi's left eye as he looks into the back of Kuroko's head. Out of all the items tailored to him in this shop, what will he choose?]

[...Well then. Color him surprised. He can't see a thing. Another sharp sting and he knows he's back to red. He picks up the scarlet book and moves on to another shelf, one with blocks and small toys, things he'd expect to find in a kindergarten classroom.]

[There are so many items in this store, on the shelves, on the floor, on the walls. Kuroko finds himself a little overwhelmed by it all. It's difficult to pinpoint any one thing that catches his eye. The books Akashi was just manipulating are of interest, but he looks away, taking in some other items. There's a set of sports balls against the wall. Kuroko spots a basketball and gives it a puzzled look. Books, toys, sports gear..what a strange place. He wanders further in, walking past shelves.

Kuroko glances over at Akashi when he speaks, watching him for a moment. He's difficult to read but he seems friendly enough.]

Are you the owner?

[Akashi can feel he's being watched for that period of time. Most people stare at him, sure, who wouldn't? The keeper of such a strange shop is bound to get attention, even in the midst of all the other attention-grabbing things in this space. He turns to Kuroko, sending a gentle smile his way.]

I am. Do you have any other questions you'd like to ask me?

[Kuroko feels like he's been seen for a moment, like a spotlight is shining on him, but he shakes off the feeling. Of course he has questions! He doesn't think he's the easiest person to read and it would be strange not to have questions in a place like this.

At Akashi's prompting he considers the many things he'd like an answer to. There's so much, which draws Kuroko's attention further away from the physical items in the shop and directly towards the shop owner himself. He stops in his tracks and turns his body fully towards Akashi.]

Yes. [He decides to ask the most obvious question.] How long have you been here?
