It's almost the month of Halloween, kiddies! You know what THAT means.

Time for everything great about the best season of the year! It's goth Christmas, so let's celebrate it right!

LOCATIONS
1. STAYING IN You like to stay nice and comfy at home! Maybe you're watching movies, handing out candy, or baking spooky cupcakes!

2. GOING OUT You wanna trick-or-treat? Go to a party? Have fun, guys!

3. NO, WE MEAN REALLY OUT Why are you out in the woods? A graveyard? What the hell is wrong with you?

4. IN BUT OUT We thought it couldn't get any worse, but now you're in an abandoned hospital? Some real haunted-ass house? Y'all gonna die.

SCENARIOS
1. TRICK OR TREAT The purest and truest thing you can do. Whether you're a little kid going to get candy, a parent going with them, an adult celebrator or some asshole not even in a costume, have some fun.

2. COSTUME PARTY Ohhh baby. Is this a regular costume party or something fancier? Can you recognize people or is it a surprise? Is there a costume contest? Are you in the same costume as someone else? Damn.

3. HAY RIDES Ride in a wagon with your friends or family, hanging out and maybe enjoying some treats. Unless it's a scary one, then try not to punch the actors.

4. HAUNTED HOUSES So you went to the cool new haunted house in town, going of your own accord or dragged along? Dragging someone else? Remember, don't punch the actors.

5. SCARY MOVIES Maybe you're hanging out with friends. Maybe you're hanging out with family. Or your significant other. Are they scared? Are you scared? Can you get a snuggle out of it? ... Are you just watching Hocus Pocus, because we suggest Hocus Pocus. Or the Addams Family. Unless you ARE the Addams Family, then watch your home movies.

6. HANDING OUT CANDY You stayed home for a good cause! You love seeing all the costumes people roll up to your house in and you love handing them treats. Or you hate Halloween and have all your lights turned off. Don't run out of candy though.

7. BEING A LITTLE SHIT Egging, TPing, setting off car alarms, stealing candy, smashing pumpkins... What is wrong with you? Like, literally smashing pumpkins, you're not hanging out with Billy Corgan. Unless you are hanging out with Billy Corgan. IS HE TPING A HOUSE TOO?????? I knew it.

8. PUMPKIN CARVING Either you love this or think it's gross. Pulling the guts out of a pumpkin and carving it into an aesthetically pleasing design so you can stick a light in it and put it outside. Fucking rad.

9. LEAF PILES You cleaned up the yard! NOW IT'S TIME TO JUMP IN THE LEAF PILES. Or, well, we hope you cleaned the yard. It'd be a dick move to do it to someone else's hard work, but we're not the cops.

10. CORN MAZE Another option for fun scary times is a corn maze! Find your way out safely, but seriously, don't punch the actors.

11. PICKING OUT COSTUMES YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE COOLEST COSTUME AROUND Did you find something great? Mediocre? Did someone else take the best one?

12. THE DAY AFTER Oh shit, it's discount candy day! Get all the best stuff before someone else does! Or fight for it. Whatever.

13. DECORATING You have to get your house ready for your favorite holiday! Hang those spiderwebs, fake skeletons, and cute little ghosts. Or set up your own haunted house.

14. BEING A MORON On a higher level than being a little shit, you don't believe in creppy things coming to get you. Using an ouija board, exploring abandoned, haunted places, whatever: you're asking for trouble. That said, don't punch the ghosts. It won't help you.

15. BEING SPOOPY YOU'RE the spoopy one. A monster, a ghost, a witch/wizard (wow, rude), whatever. Maybe you wanna scare people. Maybe you wanna cut people's heads off because you don't have on. MAYBE you just want to be left alone, GOD.

16. SKELETON WAR ... Wait, what?

As always, these are just suggestions. Make up anything you want, as long as you're having fun!

[Moving in with Evelyn after a year and a half of traveling post-graduation has been better than Egg could have guessed it would be. Obviously, having a stable roommate who keeps up with chores even through grueling medical school hours has been both impressive and nice for cohabitation. That said, even disregarding the practicality of moving in with her long-time college roommate, Egg hadn't realized how much she missed Evelyn.

Egg always knows she has someone to go to for support when customers are assholes at her delivery job, often immediately after she gets home, even at odd hours on weekends. Dedicated as Evelyn is to getting her Doctorate, she's rarely too busy to stop working for an hour past midnight while Egg vents at her over shared ice cream. Egg also knows she has someone to go to with weird medical questions, or to take care of her when she gets sick. When she got that broken arm in a car accident (some asshole professor in a bright green car nearly running her over on a motorcycle that got totaled) Evelyn was right by her side the whole time she was recovering, giving her rides until she was able to buy herself a car of her own.

Even beyond her kindness, Egg missed Evelyn's humor and spirit. Egg loves watching Evelyn tear apart medical dramas for their inaccuracies, and listening to her talking shit about her annoying cousin or her coworkers or the men who hit on her at the coffee place by her school when she wears a slightly tighter shirt than usual. Egg even missed what she lovingly dubbed "The Horse Shrine" in college: a bookshelf covered in horse figurines, photographs, books, art pieces, and trophies from Evelyn's time as a competitive horseback rider.

It's been nearly a year that Egg has been living with Evelyn again, which means it is the second Halloween they've spent together as real adults. Last year, Evelyn dressed up as a "horse", which was just...regular Evelyn in a shirt with horses on it, a headband with two brown construction paper "ears" taped on, and a ponytail. It was funny, but this year Evelyn is going to a party at Cullen's apartment.

Cullen works on the campus Evelyn goes to for her medical program and they've been orbiting around each other since Egg came home. They're not dating, though it seems to Egg like they'd both like to be, and Evelyn has never been good at saying her feelings, so Egg offered her assistance with finding a Halloween costume. To improve his morale.

Egg and Evelyn are sitting on their couch with Evelyn's laptop pointed towards both of them. Egg has some chips in her lap, turning the bag in Evelyn's direction to offer some while she looks at the screen.]

[Halloween has never been a particularly note worthy time for Haruhi. She doesn't hate it, but she's not really a holiday person, exactly, let alone a dress up holiday person. Since joining the Host Club, however, it's become...eventful.

This year, the club had decided to coordinate to dress up as fairy tale characters. Tamaki had insisted that Haruhi dress up as Little Red Riding Hood up until nearly every other host began arguing over who would dress up as her wolf. Fed up with the whole thing, and late to meet up with Shinji, Haruhi told the hosts to figure it out and make sure that whatever she was wearing wasn't too feminine. After all, she had a secret to keep up.

Today, Haruhi and Shinji are celebrating Halloween in their own way. Some of Shinji's friends were running a small Haunted House outside of the school and talked Shinji into attending so, since most of them were either in or working on the Haunted House, he had invited Haruhi to accompany him. Haunted Houses aren't really her thing but they don't scare her. However, she isn't sure how Shinji feels about Haunted Houses. Haruhi isn't particularly worried either way.

About five minutes after Haruhi had promised she'd be meeting Shinji, she arrives at the front gate with a frown, still annoyed with the Host Club. The sight of her friend puts her at ease, though, and she smiles.]

[Growing up Dalish, Egg is very familiar with camping. Some nights as a child were even spent sleeping directly under the stars. She misses it, sometimes, sleeping in campers provided by the Inquisition. There are some perks. This brand of camper, in particular, has a generator that provides Egg and her companions with some amount of electricity. Eddie has decided that the best use of this is to watch scary movies late into the night.

It's just Egg and Eddie sharing this camper. There's only room enough for two people in each one and Egg doesn't really feel like splitting up Cassandra and her brother. They've seemed pretty cozy lately, which is super weird if anyone is asking Egg but that fight has come and gone a couple times over since this whole thing started. Egg could use a distraction from all that so when Eddie suggested watching movies she was on board.]

I can't believe you brought horror movies into the woods. Isn't that a little on the nose?
