haruhi definitely lives with her dad in the slums, her dad definitely works in wall market. I'm not sure if it's even possible but if ouran adjacent maybe there's a way she can have gotten some kind of scholarship where she's going to school topside.

if she's an adult she, unfortunately, probably works for shinra like every other person living in midgar.
